History

CODA Abnormal Facilities was founded in early May-July of 2020, by Alfie K, who is still the Director of CODA (as of April 2024). When CODA was founded, there were about 10-15 DAs. The oldest DAs were DA-001 (God Paints the Layers) and DA-090 (The Repelling Bench). CODA’s website was not created until around February of 2023, inspired through the fact that the FOC Foundation (now known as The EAC Foundation) had a website which was not publicly available. Thanks to CODA, the EAC Foundation has created a website that can be accessed by anybody.

From December 2022, CODA kept growing. Thanks to the inspiration we recieved from the SCP Foundation, more DAs were thought of. Many of these DAs were stored in a database on a slow tablet, only accessible to Alfie. Approximately 62 DAs were stored there, before it was deleted due to insufficient storage space. However, funnily enough, 2 days later Alfie discovered Webnode (the provider who powers our websites). If only he kept the database for 2 days :( The CODA Main Website was created before the DA Database was, with a 4 day difference. Still to this day, the CODA Main Website recieves frequent updates.
